Our 2023 Jazz Series kicks off on April 22 with a performance by the Brian Patneaude Quartet. Based in Albany, Brian has been a mainstay in the local jazz scene for many years, earning a wide following throughout the Northeast and beyond for his virtuosic saxophone playing.
Our second performance of the season takes place on June 10 with Pamela Knowles. The power that Pamela's singing has to move an audience owes a lot to the acting experience which shaped her career. She trained at the American Conservatory Theatre and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
After several years as an actress in New York, Pamela based herself in Europe. The wide-ranging appeal of her talent has taken her on a musical odyssey around the world. She is equally at home charming a supper club in New York, exciting an audience at Ronnie Scott's Club in London, delighting crowds in a Paris jazz cellar with her funky Latin-jazz explosions, appearing in concert with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra and performing at jazz festivals in Australia and New Zealand. She has also appeared as the featured artist at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel's Cine Grill Supper Club and the
Jazz Bakery in Los Angeles.
