Our 2023 Jazz Series kicks off on April 22 with a performance by the Brian Patneaude Quartet. Based in Albany, Brian has been a mainstay in the local jazz scene for many years, earning a wide following throughout the Northeast and beyond for his virtuosic saxophone playing.

About the event

The West Stockbridge Historical Society Jazz Series begins its 2023 season with the Brian Patneaude Quartet at the Old Town Hall on Saturday, April 22, at 7:30 pm.  The quartet of award-winning musicians features Patneaude on saxophone, Rob Lundquist on keyboard, Jarod Grieco bass, and Danny Whelchel drums. Based in based in New York’s Capitol Region, Patneaude has been a mainstay in the Northeast jazz scene for many years. He was honored as Jazz Artist of the Year at the inaugural Eddies – Capital Region Thomas Edison Music Awards in 2019. In addition to leading his own quartet (with five critically acclaimed albums to their credit) the saxophonist has enjoyed lengthy tenures with numerous area ensembles including Michael Benedict & Bopitude, Keith Pray's Big Soul Ensemble, the Silver Arrow Band, the Refrigerators, Alex Torres & His Latin Orchestra, and the Empire Jazz Orchestra.
