About the event
The varied habitat of Berkshire County—lakes, mountains, fields, forests, and rivers—makes it an excellent place for both birds and birdwatchers. The history of birdwatching in the county is equally fascinating. This talk, presented by the author of the forthcoming The Birds of Berkshire County, will cover both birds and history, as well as information about how the county’s birdlife is changing.
Chip Blake is an independent editor and writing instructor. Chip has lived in Berkshire County for almost three decades, exploring every corner of it as a naturalist and birdwatcher. He is the president of the Hoffmann Bird Club and the author of The Birds of Berkshire County, to be published later this year by the Nuttall Ornithological Club. Earlier, he served for 25 years as the editor of Orion magazine.
