About the event

On Friday, November 8th at 7:00 PM, we’ll have our fourth program in the Berkshire Nature Talk Series. John Wheeler, president of the Berkshire Mycological Society, will present a talk on the Mushrooms of Berkshire County. According to Wheeler, there are around 1100 distinct species of mushrooms found in the Berkshires. Wheeler will present a slide show and talk about these fungi friends (and some foes) and discuss the risks and rewards of foraging in Berkshire forests. Free for West Stockbridge Historical Society members, $10 suggested donation for non-members.
